If you read my about me page you may have noticed that I have been marketing online since 2008.

That is a long time in internet years.

Even just typing that feels so surreal to me. I really can’t believe I’ve been doing this ‘internet thing‘ for so long.

That said, a LOT of things have changed over the years and I’ve seen a lot of tactics come and go.

When I first got started online I use to make a killing by simply outsourcing articles and posting them to EzineArticles.com.

I would then redirect the traffic from my articles to a landing page where I would promote affiliate products.

Back then EzineArticles would get a ton of traffic and once you had a good title and article, you could get a good number of your readers to visit your landing page.

And if your presell copy is good, you would also get a good portion of those people to buy the products that you are recommending.

I first learn about that tactic from a guy named Travis Sago who coined the Term Bum-Marketing. Basically, he was saying that the process was so easy that even a ‘Bum’ could do it.

To make a long story short, I remember it was like a game trying to get at least 10 Articles approved at a time.

When this happens, all of your articles will be in the “recently published” articles and I would dominate all 10 spots for that specific category and at the same time, your articles had a good chance of being featured on the home page.

This was even more exciting if it was a Friday evening because the staff at EzineArticle.com stopped approving articles on a Friday.

That meant all my articles would stay in the “recently published” spot for the entire weekend and would drive a ton of traffic to my landing page which would result in a surplus of affiliate sales.

Those were some fun times.

Sadly, none of those tactics work anymore.

And if you are just starting your internet marketing business, the only way you are going to survive and grow your business is to focus on what is working right now.

You see, the reason why I mentioned that little EzineArticles.com trick above is that back then it resulted in a ton of targeted FREE traffic to my affiliate offers.

Because guess what you really need when starting an online business more than anything else?

Targeted Website TRAFFIC!

Even more so, FREE targeted traffic is amazing because you get a higher profit margin when you don’t have to pay for the traffic.

Without traffic (real human eyeballs on your websites) nothing else matters.

If no one sees your offers, you’ll generate no sales.

It doesn’t matter if you have the best product in the world either. None of that matters if no one is buying it.

It’s as simple as that.

This is the main reason why so many people are failing to have success with their online business. Traffic is a HUGE struggle.

In fact, it’s not just newbie marketers that have this problem either.

There are veteran marketers who fail to adapt to new strategies that are working now and as a result, they are getting left behind with old marketing tactics that barely produce any results.

You see, old tactics like using EzineArticles for traffic stopped working years ago but there’re a LOT of current strategies that are working like a charm when done right.

Which Brings Me To Youtube!

If you want free targeted traffic, Youtube is one of the best places to be!

Right now, marketing your business on Youtube can be a goldmine if you get things right. There are so many people who are quitting their 9-5 in under a year after starting and growing their Youtube Channels.

That said I am not making any promises because there are a lot of contributing factors as it relates to having a successful youtube channel. For one, the niche you choose will play a huge part. That said, you absolutely don’t want to avoid Youtube if you are doing any kind of business online.

The reality is, video is taking over the internet so if you don’t start now, you are going to be left behind.

But what if you are shy and don’t want to be on camera?

That is a great question.

If you are a high-level introvert like me, the idea of starting a Youtube channel and talking to a camera may hurt you to the bone.

In fact, the fear of getting on camera is one of the main reasons why a lot of persons are hesitant to start a Youtube channel.

If you have been thinking about starting your Youtube channel for some time but you’ve been too scared to start, this post is for you!

Today I’m going to share a simple 4 step process that you can use to make money on Youtube without showing your face on camera.

This is the exact step-by-step process that I use to generate a full-time income promoting products with Youtube outside of the “internet marketing niche.”

Who Is This System For?

So before I get into the training, let’s get one thing straight: Can You Make Money On Youtube Without Showing Your Face?

And the simple answer is YES!

As Promised, Here’s My Result:

If you look at the image above and the column circled in red, you’ll notice a heading that says “Last Click Referrer.”

The URLs in that column would indicate the last website the customer came from before making a purchase. And as you can see, all of these sales came as a result of traffic coming directly from Youtube!

Note also that all of those sales were generated from Youtube channels in which I don’t use my face on camera to create videos.

Now that you know that you don’t have to show your face to start a Youtube Channel, let get into the exact 4 step system to making money from your channel.

How To Make Money From Youtube With New Channel

In my last post, I spoke about several ways to make money on Youtube without Adsense.

In this post, however, I am going to zoom in a bit on one specific tactic that can produce amazing results even from a Youtube Channel with no subscribers.

That Is Affiliate Marketing.

If you are new to the term, it basically means referral marketing.

You simply refer/promote products and services and when someone purchases the products or services you refer to them, you’ll get a commission.

This is one of my favorite ways to make money online. You don’t have to store inventory, you don’t have to ship anything and you also don’t have to deal directly with customers.

You simply tell someone about a product you love or endorse and when they buy you get a commission and that’s it. Everything from point of sale to customer service is handled by the product owner.

That said, in this step-by-step post, I show you how you can start making upwards of $100 or more per day from Affiliate Marketing.

It is a great business model when done correctly and can be very lucrative as well.

But today we are going to be focusing our efforts on Youtube + affiliate marketing.

So here’s how you can do the same thing with a brand new Youtube Channel without actually being on camera.

Step #1 – Choose A High-Quality Product To Promote.

This step is very important to the success of the system. You want to choose a product that is high-quality and does help your prospects (who will become customers) to solve whatever problems they may be having.

If the product doesn’t work, or if it is a scammy product, your viewers will be very angry. Some will even leave nasty comments on your videos which can ruin the reputation of the channel.

On top of being high-quality, you also want to choose a product that pays a substantial amount of commission.

The higher the commission of the product, the fewer sales you’ll need to make to hit your income goals. It takes pretty much the same effort to promote a product that pays $100 as it does to promote a product that pays $10.

Now the best places to find these products to promote are affiliate networks.

Here’s a list of some of my favorite networks with a lot of quality products to choose from.

All of the above affiliate networks are free to join.

Once you sign up, they’ll have a simple tutorial showing you how you can access the products in their respective marketplaces to promote and how to get the unique affiliate links that you’ll share on your Youtube Channel.

Once you choose a product and get your affiliate links, you can use a URL shortener such as https://bitly.com to shorten your links and add them to your Youtube Video’s description box.

You can register a brand new domain at Namecheap.

Step #2 – Choose The Right Keywords For Your Videos

The second step on how to make money off youtube without showing your face is also very important. That is, you MUST choose the right keywords to target with your Youtube videos.

If you go for ultra-competitive keywords, your videos will not rank in the Youtube search – especially with a brand new channel.

And as a result of that, they won’t get any views which means that no one will be clicking on your affiliate links and you’ll make no sales.

Unlike the big channels which get a lot of views from “suggested videos” and “browse features” on Youtube, your new channel will get most of your traffic from “search results” until your channel becomes more established and Youtube starts recommending it more.

But when your channel is relatively new, you’ll be targeting keywords that your potential customers are searching for.

To find these keywords, you’ll use a keyword tool such as TubeBuddy.

Tubebuddy is a Google Chrome extension so you’ll need to first install it. Click here to Install the Tubebuddy Extension.

It is a paid tool but they have a free version that will still give you a good amount of data to work with.

Here’s how to use Tubebuddy to find the best keywords to rank for:

Once you install the chrome extension, log into the Youtube Channel that you are working with.

Click On the Tubebuddy icon top right and scroll to the keyword explorer option. (see image below:)

Now enter a broad keyword in the search box that relates to the product you are promoting.

For example, if I was promoting a cellulite cream, then that’s exactly what I would put in the search box.

If you enter a broad or generic keyword then more than likely Tubebuddy will say that it is a poor choice.

That’s because your channel is brand new and so it will need to gain some authority in order to be able to rank for those keywords easily.

That said, you can click on the related keywords on the right-hand side until you find one that Tubebuddy gives you a minimum ranking of “Good.”

Step #3 – Create Your High-Converting Videos

Contrary to what most people may think, this step is very easy. My secret weapon is a software known as Vidnami.

With Vidnami it is just a matter of writing a high converting script for your video, posting the script into Vidnami, and then the software will generate an eye-catching video for you.

Step #4 – Upload, Optimize And Rank Your Videos

This is the step where you try to get your videos in front of the people who need them the most. That is people who are searching for the keywords you are targeting.

So you may want to read this complete guide to ranking your videos on the first page. That said, here are a few tips that will summarize exactly what you need to do.

Step #5 – Be Consistent And Focus On What Works

I know how easy it is to get complacent and not put in the work. However, you have to understand that one or two videos alone won’t cut it. In fact, your first few videos (1-15) should be a learning experience as you figure out what works and what doesn’t.

The reality is, every niche is different and one style of video may work for one niche yet completely flop for another. This is why you need to do a LOT of videos and analyze what works.

Once you have a formula, stick to it and be consistent.

I’d recommend a minimum of 3 videos per week to start out. The beauty about making money on youtube without showing your face is that you don’t have to worry about looking good on camera, or good lighting or any of that stuff.

You simply create a script and read it and you are done!

The only thing I’d recommend for your videos is to ensure that you have a decent microphone. Nothing is more terrible than a video with poor audio quality.
